Naruto's Little Girl - Chapter 1: Flashbacks

Scared and confused. That's all Naruto remembered feeling when he first found out there was an actual living thing growing inside of him.

"How could this be possible?" Was a question that Naruto would often ask himself during the first few months of his pregnancy. But it eventually stopped bothering him to the point where he was actually glad it was possible.

Sakura leaned against a nearby tree. "You're busy thinking back, aren't you?"

Naruto nodded in response. "Yeah..." He murmured, turning his gaze up toward the bright blue sky.

( Flashback )

Sakura found herself constantly drifting off into a blank daydream as she stared at her blonde-haired friend's stomach. For now it was only flat, but just to think, soon it would get bigger with each passing month.

Naruto looked back at her questioningly, and blushed lightly when following her gaze. "Umm...Sakura?"

She quickly shook her head, snapping herself out of it. "I-I'm sorry!" She said quickly, and looked away. "It's rude to stare, and I know that, so I'm sorry..."

Naruto chuckled nervously. "Eh, it's fine. I can't really blame you...I'm still trying to let this news sink in too..."

Sakura only nodded. She still couldn't believe that one of her closest friends...her teammate that she's known for so long, was having a baby. It's been over a few weeks now since they've found out, but it was still so hard to believe! Tsunade was able to explain to the both of them that Naruto actually had the ability to bare children because of the Kyuubi. It didn't make much sense to either of them at first, but when she pointed out that she believed the Kyuubi to be genderless, it began making sense.

"Naruto, I'm very curious, but it's probably none of my business..." She murmured.

Naruto kept quiet, waiting for her to say what she had on her mind.

The awkward silence only made her more nervous about asking the question that she's been wanting to ask. "I wanted to know whose baby it was..." She looked away from the blonde when she received more silence as a response. But she knew Naruto knew...and probably Tsunade as well. Sakura had chosen to leave the room when Tsunade wanted to ask Naruto some personal questions, and one of those questions most likely were asking who he last had sexual intercourse with.

"This baby...it belongs to Sasuke, doesn't it Naruto?" Sakura knew that she was being very nosey, but she couldn't resist.

Naruto stared at the ground with such an expression, as if he felt ashamed or embarrassed. But, he nodded.

But this didn't surprise Sakura very much. Naruto always had strong feelings for the Uchiha...but back when they were younger, it was more of a brotherly love. But as he got older, he started to develop different feelings for him, in a more sexual way.

He always wished that he could he bring Sasuke home and have him be part of the team again...and just embrace him. But Naruto believed himself to only be living in a fantasy, knowing that a day like that would never come.

"You shouldn't lose hope, Naruto." She said, hoping to make him feel a little better. But, there was also something else that she was very curious about. "Are you...ever going to tell him?" She asked quietly.

"I don't think that I can ever not tell him, Sakura-chan." He said just as quietly. "This is his baby too...he has the right to know that it even exists..."

Sakura opened her mouth to say something else, but nothing came out as she stopped herself. It was enough with the questions. But she couldn't help but wonder how Sasuke would react if he found out that he was having a baby...and with Naruto. She knew that Naruto feared that he probably wouldn't even want it...or worse, try to harm it. She watched as the blonde absentmindedly rubbed at his stomach, a blank look on his face. She wonder if many thoughts ran through her mind...or if his mind was just blank at the moment.

"...Sakura."

The pink-haired girl looked at him questioningly in response.

Naruto closed his eyes. "We've got to find him."

But it hadn't surprised Sakura one bit that he wanted to find Sasuke, and quickly. And he wanted to find him and tell him before he actually started to show. It hadn't surprised Kakashi either, for he was told by Naruto himself. Surprisingly, he wasn't even that embarrassed, nor did he act like he was desperate to hide it. In fact, he actually embraced this opportunity as time went by and his stomach began to grow larger in size. He told Tsunade soon after he found out the news that he wanted to keep this baby. He told firmly, yet kindly, so he could get his point across that he really didn't want to get rid of it.

"It is a part of Sasuke, after all..." He would often tell people, as a response of why this baby was so important to him. The more he embraced this opportunity, the less afraid he was. Sure, lots of things ran through his mind...the realization that he was going to be an actual mother, relief on the fact that he didn't have to use his sexy no jutsu in order to maintain this pregnancy, and then the slight fear of how the birth was going to take place and how the baby was going to come out of him exactly. But...he had a long time before he really had to worry about that, so he wasn't going to waste his time stressing over it.

He made sure to always eat quite a bit of food, since he wasn't just eating for himself anymore. He got into the habit of eating different and more healthier foods, rather than just filling up on ramen all the time. It sucked not being able to go out on missions, so he got pretty bored and restless at times. But one thing was for sure, he wasn't as lonely as before! It felt like someone was always stopping by to see him or pay him a visit, which always felt good. Usually it was Kakashi or Iruka, or Sakura, or even Ino or Shikamaru at times. But it wasn't like he wasn't allowed to leave the house. He went out plenty of times to get fresh air.

By the time he made the decision that he was going to try and resume in his search for the Uchiha, he didn't want anything or anyone to stand in his way. By this point, he had a small bulge of a stomach. He hoped that the search wouldn't take forever, and he wanted to do this alone. Unfortunately, he was pissed off by Tsunade's opinion of not letting him go. She told him that she had her reasons, and that it was much too dangerous. She wouldn't have been so worried over this if it wasn't for not only his health, but the baby's as well. She told him that anything could happen to him, and his unborn child.

"And what do you suppose is going to happen once you find him?" He remembered her asking him. "Sasuke is not in the right frame of mind right now, and you're only putting your baby's life at risk."

He understood what she meant by that. And that's what he feared the most...Sasuke wanting to kill the baby. Their baby. But, he was going to try his best and not let that happen. Though it was forbidden by Tsunade, he was going to make this little trip anyway. He wanted to do this...he had to let Sasuke know that he was bearing their child. He didn't want anyone else to make the trip and let him know. He wanted to do this by himself, and face to face only.
